PRODUCT SUPPLIER SOURCING
Product & Supplier Sourcing
Find the right manufacturer or supplier for your product
You may already know what you want to make. The problem is finding a supplier or manufacturer that can meet the actual commercial requirement.
Price alone is rarely enough.
MOQ, production capability, lead time, communication, product category and the structure around the order all affect whether a supplier is worth progressing.
X.M helps identify, compare and structure commercially relevant supplier and manufacturer options for defined physical products.
What X.M does
Depending on the sourcing context, X.M can: identify relevant suppliers or manufacturers, work through documented existing manufacturer relationships where applicable, compare commercial options, review available MOQ, pricing and lead-time information, clarify relevant manufacturer capability, coordinate initial supplier communication, structure a shortlist and support a limited sample step where appropriate.
The goal is to identify options that are commercially relevant enough to make a decision.
What you receive
Depending on scope, this may include:
- Relevant supplier or manufacturer options
- Commercial comparison
- MOQ and available pricing information
- Lead-time information
- Identified dependencies, a shortlist or recommended sourcing route and a clear next step
The deliverable is the documented search and assessment within the agreed scope. If no suitable supplier is identified, the report explains the findings, limitations and recommended next step.
We do not present contact access alone as proven capability.
What happens next?
If the product is not sufficiently defined yet, start with Product Development & Production Setup.
If you already have the supplier but need to understand what moving the product will actually cost, continue to Shipping & Landed-Cost Assessment.
If you’re not yet sure whether sourcing is the right commercial route, start with Commercial Route Assessment.
Tell us what the product is, what stage you are at and what you need from the manufacturer.
What sourcing does not establish
Sourcing is not the same as guaranteeing a supplier.
X.M does not automatically claim that every supplier has been independently:
- Audited
- Certified
- Legally verified
- Technically approved
- Guaranteed for quality or performance
Where specialist verification, certification or inspection work is required, that remains a separate dependency.
Scope and commercial terms
The standard starting scope covers:
- One defined product or closely related product family
- One primary sourcing region
- Up to three commercially relevant supplier or manufacturer options
- One standard sourcing cycle
- Commercial comparison and shortlist
Samples, sample freight, production, laboratory work, certification and other third-party costs are separate unless expressly included.
Additional products, regions, suppliers or sample cycles must be agreed before that work begins.
